Commissions: How & Why?

A commission to create a painting that is unique and special to the client is a privilege. The route to a successful commission is communication and collaboration. The process Lucy follows is simple & proven(see Customer Feedback):

• An initial consultation is held to understand the brief, identify what type of paintings you like, to share ideas & see where the painting will be located. This establishes size, colour and style preferences. An outline design for your painting is agreed. The client has as much or as little creative input as they want. The maximum price of the final painting is always provided at this early stage.

• Early viewings of your painting are arranged to check progress is in line with expectations. This can be a personal visit or email of photographs if time or geography is a problem. Changes are agreed if necessary.

• Final draft is shared with the client to check they are happy. There is no obligation to take and pay for a commission until fully satisfied with the end result.

• Repeat commissions receive a discount of 10%. Lucy will also update a painting that you have previously purchased to match a new interior at a reduced price.
