Commission a painting: How & Why?

Lucy's work is versatile. You can ask her for a painting to be designed especially for you. As a result the artwork is exactly the right size & colour for the space you want it to fill. Not only that, the design for a bespoke painting can be really personal. The painting might be of a memorable place, have collaged elements which remind you of a special experience or date in time. The components of the painting may themselves represent something important in your life. Such a painting is both a talking point now and a family heirloom for the future.

The key to a successful commission is communication and collaboration. The process Lucy follows is simple & proven. Please take time to read the wonderful feedback from previous customers.
1. An initial consultation is held to share ideas, discuss size, medium, colour and style preferences. 1 hour approx.
2. Points of interest which could be used to personalise a painting are identified if required.
3. An outline design for the painting is agreed.
4. Maximum price and indicative completion date are provided before starting to paint.
5. As the painting develops, the client is invited to view progress, in person or by sharing photographs on email. This ensures there are no suprises when the final painting is viewed and that both parties are happy with the end result.
